Is Center for Livelihood & Development officially registered in Kenya?
Yes. CLD Kenya is legally registered under Section 10 of the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act (Certificate No. OP.218/051/12) and adheres to statutory reporting guidelines under the NGO Coordination Board of Kenya.
How do you ensure funds are actually used for community programs?
We operate with a strict financial transparency charter: 84% of all donations go straight to direct program implementation, 10% to rigorous monitoring & evaluation, and 6% to lean administration. We publish our annual audited accounts every financial year.
Can international donors donate to CLD Kenya?
Yes. International supporters can wire funds directly to our Equity Bank Kenya USD/EUR account (SWIFT: EQBLKENA) or use international debit/credit cards. We provide official charitable acknowledgment receipts for international tax filing.
Can communities or local leaders directly request CLD peace mediation during a dispute?
Yes. Through our 24/7 Peace Rapid Alert Hotline (+254 720 123 456) or the online inquiry form, community elders, chiefs, church/mosque leaders, or county commissioners can formally request rapid mediation intervention. Our certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mediators deploy within 48 hours to assess the situation and initiate neutral dialogue barazas.
